This academic master copy of Peter Paul Rubens’ “Christ Wearing the Crown of Thorns (Ecce Homo)” was completed in 2024 as part of my training at the Repin Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg.

The project was an exercise in understanding the methods of an Old Master through sustained observation and practical reconstruction of the painting process.
