William Frank provided liturgical consultation and custom artwork for the Orthwein Chapel, the spiritual center of a state-of-the-art medical and research facility. Working closely with hospital leadership and the design team, William developed imagery that expressed the institution’s mission “to reveal the healing presence of God through exceptional healthcare services.”
The work included the design and commissioning of several significant works of sacred art. William conceived and designed the Stations of the Cross, a series of prints created specifically for the space, which received a 2020 Visual Art Honor Award from IFRAA Religious Art, an international juried competition. He also led the design and production of the chapel’s stained-glass windows and oversaw their fabrication through a specialized stained-glass studio. William directed the commission of the chapel’s crucifix, overseeing its design, development, and fabrication with the sculptor.
