The Association of Consultants for Liturgical Space brings together the professionals who design, build, and renew places of worship. ACLS supports its members through webinars, mentorship, biennial retreats, and a shared standard of practice.

ACLS members are liturgical design consultants, artists, architects, artisans, and industry professionals. Our expertise spans the arts and art history, architecture, education, liturgical training, and pastoral work.

Our clients are pastors, churches, and religious institutions. ACLS has collaborated to create, furnish, renovate, and restore liturgical spaces for communities of faith. Membership

ACLS offers its members opportunities for work, collaboration, and professional development: monthly webinars with experts in our fields, a nine-month mentorship program in liturgical consulting, a biennial retreat, and the ACLS quarterly newsletter. The association carries on its work through an elected governing board, standing and ad hoc committees, and the efforts of its members.

STANDARDS OF PRACTICE

Collaboration. Members work as partners with clergy, committees, architects, and artists, in a process grounded in the community's faith.

Tradition and vision. Members honor each community's traditions and work within its denominational teaching and pastoral authority, while helping it imagine its future.

Candor. Members raise difficulties early and resolve them honestly with the whole project team.

Integrity. Members keep their agreements and hold their work to the highest professional standards.
