This academic project presents a monumental mural program developed specifically for St. Catherine’s Cathedral in Tsarskoye Selo (Pushkin, St. Petersburg).

The design draws on the Neo-Byzantine tradition and the principles of Byzantine monumental painting, including tiered compositions, frontal figures, strong areas of local color, gold backgrounds, and rich ornamentation. The iconographic program and individual compositions were developed in close dialogue with the architecture of the cathedral, taking into account the proportions and structure of the existing space.
