Ben Heimsath of Heimsath Architects initiated the concept for this project and recommended G.R.Hoelzeman Studios for the design and creation of the twelve mahogany panels. George R. Hoelzeman met with the pastor and building committee of Holy Trinity Episcopal to discuss various aspects of the parish life and aesthetic goals. The committee generated a list of twelve biblical subjects which in some way revealed the Trinity in both Old and New Testaments. George organized these subjects in an organized liturgical and theological scheme along four broad themes, two for the exterior (hospitality and divine revelation) and two for the interior (creation/redemption and sacramental encounter).

Trinitarian themes of hospitality (exterior left leaf) are the visitors to Abraham at Mamre, the nativity, and the feeding of the multitude. Divine revelation (exterior right leaf) are Moses and the burning bush, the Passion, and Christ the King (Pantocrator).

The interior themes are Creation, promise of the redeemer, and the annunciation (interior left). Sacramental references on the interior right panel are associated with initiation into the Body of Christ: Jesus' baptism in the Jordan, the Last Supper, and Pentecost.

All panels read from bottom to top except that of creation, which reads from top to bottom. Each panel is mahogany and is 3'x3' in size. The doors are 12' wide and 16' tall.
